Our NSW & ACT Integrated Transport and Mobility (ITM) Practice is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Transport Planner/ traffic engineer (5–10 years experience) to join our Sydney team.

The role

You will work on a mix of Transport Impact Assessments (TIA), strategic transport planning, and transport advisory projects for major developments and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with direct client exposure, and clear pathways to senior and leadership opportunities.

You will:

Lead and deliver Transport Impact Assessments for complex development and infrastructure projectsContribute to strategic transport planning, active transport, and multimodal access studiesSupport or manage projects end-to-end, including scope, programme, budget, and riskEngage directly with clients, approval authorities, and stakeholdersCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across AureconContribute to winning work and growing trusted client relationships

What we’re looking for

A relevant tertiary qualification with 5–10 years’ experience in transport planning/ traffic engineeringStrong experience preparing and reviewing Transport Impact AssessmentsSound technical judgement and confidence working with data, modelling outputs, and policy frameworksExperience supporting or leading project deliveryClear written and verbal communication skillsA collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring others
