Transmission Line Engineer
Transmission Line Engineer Exciting opportunity to support multiple major utilities on overhead transmission line design projects! Remote availability for experienced candidates. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to lead and execute overhead design and structural projects using PLSCADD. The role demands independent planning, scheduling, and coordination of detailed project phases while collaborating with other engineering disciplines and project management teams. The ideal candidate will provide mentorship and technical reviews for junior staff, while also developing proposals and conducting external presentations. The engineer will resolve complex technical issues, monitor project progress, and ensure efficient production by identifying and correcting discrepancies in analytical results. Responsibilities + Execute overhead transmission line and structural design projects using PLSCADD. + Provide expert consultation and mentorship in engineering disciplines. + Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed project phases independently. + Develop technical proposals and deliver external presentations. + Resolve complex technical issues and monitor project performance. + Identify and correct technical discrepancies in analytical results. + Recommend design alterations to improve quality and efficiency. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred. + Minimum of 2 years of progressive engineering experience. + Proficiency with PLSCADD, AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation. + Expert knowledge of structural analysis and transmission line design. + Understanding of QA/QC procedures and business practices in engineering Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
