Our client, a leading provider in the energy transmission and distribution industry, is seeking a Transmission and Distribution Engineer to join their team. As a Transmission and Distribution Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Transmission & Distribution practice. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Transmission and Distribution Engineer
**Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite, with 10% Travel)**
**Pay Range:** Up to $135,000 annual salary
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform, lead, and oversee engineering responsibilities related to overhead transmission line design, including modeling, routing, and structure analysis.
+ Develop design criteria, perform sag-tension calculations, and recommend wire blowout and swing angle adjustments.
+ Prepare specifications for construction, hardware, and materials for high voltage overhead transmission lines.
+ Create construction drawings and accurate cost estimates for high voltage transmission projects.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in routing and designing high voltage overhead transmission lines.
+ Proficiency with Power Line system-based programs such as PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
