Transition Engineer
**Description** **Description:** SAIC has an opportunity for a Transition Engineer to guide, and provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory services for a government customer in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will: + Assist the government oversee, guide, and manage technical efforts for transition activities delivering vital mission operations capabilities. Efforts provide enterprise-wide, high-impact systems engineering and project management services. + Anticipate, assign, drive projects and customer requirements to closure; continually assess tasks, realign/reprioritize/augment assignments as appropriate. + Work with government managers to plan, organize, execute, and track efforts. + Maintain awareness of government’s evolving needs and proactively provide analysis, insights, recommendations to improve delivery of services and/or exploit opportunity to enhance process, resource effectiveness, or efficiency. + Provide technical support to government contacts. + Identify and communicate status, risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies for transition activities. + Promote and facilitate collaboration with government, SETA team members, and other contractors; across the enterprise, to ensure success of transition activities. + Develop assessments and staffing products for a variety of audiences, convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership. **Qualifications** **QUALIFICATIONS** **Required:** + Must be US Citizen. + Possess Active TS/SCI with current polygraph. + Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or relevant field and nine (9) years or more experience; Master’s Degree in STEM or relevant field and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. + Demonstrated success performing project management and systems engineering tasks, delivering mission capabilities. + Knowledge of SIGINT space and ground architecture including mission control and/or mission processing functions. + Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations and maintenance, decommission and be familiar with related control gates and associated documentation. + Experience with CONOPS and requirements development, systems analysis, interface control documentation, technical specification review, integration and testing; validation and verification. + Self-starter, able to proactively address customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics. + Impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment, polished communicator (written/verbal). + Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder. + Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project. **Desired Qualifications:** + Knowledge of satellite constellations, spacecraft orbit, tasking process, and ground station characteristics. + Knowledge of SIGINT TCPED process. + Familiar with MBSE/Digital Engineering, AGILE development, cloud technologies.
