Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000

 

 

Astrion has an immediate opening for a Training Systems Specialist supporting the U.S. Navy’s Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) located in Dahlgren, VA.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

5 years of experience in Adult Learning and experience with AIM, CPM or LEAD tools/modules.Subject Matter Expert regarding Learning Management Systems, specifically AIM I/AIM II, CPM/Learning Objects Module (LOM), or LEAD.Knowledge and experience in curriculum development for military courses, preferably using authoring tools such as AIM I/II, CPM, LEAD, etc.Demonstrated experience in the analyses of change recommendations and determination of impact on system readinessExperienced in conducting in-person training/instruction focused on a military audience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Degree in Adult Education.Experience in review of training schedulesFamiliarity with Navy Training System Plans, the Planning Process Methodology documenting, Navy Business Case Analysis (BCA), Front End Analysis (FEA), and Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

In this position, the employee will expected to develop training aids, deliver virtual and/or in-person training sessions, as well as provide recommendations to SCSTC Learning Standards Officers (LSO) on how to update and/or convert existing curriculum from authoring tools such as the Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) and Content Planning Module (CPM) into the Navy’s Learning Engine Authoring Development (LEAD) tool. Additionally, the position must track all courses currently in transition to a new authority tool.
