Eaton’s ADMIN Administrative division is currently seeking a Traffic Supervisor.
What you’ll do:Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading the Haina Campus (including the Design Center) and Bussmann sites in all logistics customs and traffic processes, including both inbound and outbound activities. The position ensures accurate invoicing, on-time imports and exports, full trade compliance, and continuous cost optimization
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage inbound and outbound traffic operations across Haina campus and Bussman sites.
2. Achieve Profit Plan objectives related to On-Time Performance and Freight Cost.
3. Identify and develop opportunities for transportation cost reduction.
4. Ensure compliance with supply chain policies and corporate procedures.
5. Monitor traffic specific KPIs (cycle times, transportation utilization).
6. Coordinate with operations teams to guarantee transportation availability.
7. Implement standards and procedures for traffic regulations and safety.
8. Process and verify documentation for exports and imports (DUA, ISF, commercial invoice, BOL, cargo manifest).
9. Coordinate with brokers and carriers for dispatch and receipt of ocean and air freight.
10. Monitor special freight cases and follow up with carriers.
11. Ensure compliance with EHS training and policies (5S/MESH).
12. Generate standardized reports and track traffic KPIs.
13. Ensure proper management of permits and customs regulations.
14. Analyze and allocate freight costs across operations to ensure accurate distribution by business unit and cost center.
15. Monitor and report freight expense variances against budget, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and corrective actions.
16. Review and approve logistic documentation prepared by assistants and coordinators, to ensure accuracy. #LI-AR7
Education level required
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electronic, Electrical) , Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Internaltional Administration or similar careers."
Technical knowledge
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position.
2. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
3. PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, AS400. Prefer: PBI, Vista
4. Inventory management, US/DR customs regulations & trade compliance awareness
5. Knowledge of Eaton – Electrical products (Preferable)
6. APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
