No County Oneida Street Address Delta Lake State Park 8797 State Route 46 City Rome State NY Zip Code 13440 Duties Description The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following:• Perform journey-level work in the primary trade of plumbing and perform skilled and semi-skilled levels of work in carpentry, electrical and masonry in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.• Plumbing duties will include project planning, lay out procedures, blueprint reading, purchasing and overall coordination of assigned projects. • Perform necessary repairs or adjustments; direct others in performing such activities.• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including dump trucks, aerial trucks, loaders and similar construction equipment.• Give instructions and demonstrate proper plumbing techniques and the use of plumbing and steam fitting tools and equipment.• Supervise and train permanent and seasonal staff. Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in the plumbing trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.*If verifiable, we will accept and prorate appropriate part-time and volunteer experience.
