As a Sales originator within Trade & Working Capital, you will lead client engagements to identify and address needs through Trade & Working Capital solutions, driving successful sales outcomes. You'll contribute to client account planning, market execution, and serve as the primary liaison between Trade & Working Capital and its clients. Your strategic vision will guide client targeting and relationship building, while originating new business through financial analysis and idea pitching to key executives.
Trade & Working Capital (T&WC) is a strategic growth business within Payments. The line of business structures and executes both Core Trade and Structured Working Capital solutions for clients. Products/Structures include Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Sales Finance, Inventory Finance, Export Agency Finance, Letters of Credit, Trade Loans, and Bills of Exchange / Promissory Notes. Job Responsibilities:
Engage with Commercial Banking teams to lead engagements with clients to identify opportunities for Trade & Working Capital solutions, especially Receivables and Supply Chain Finance, driving successful sales outcomes and optimizing client returnsServe as “Deal Team Captain” for structured off balance sheet facilities requiring coordination with clients, credit, risk, legal, middle office and product managementContribute to client account planning and go to market execution, including driving the client coverage model and coordinating with Product partners, Commercial Bankers, Payment Sales, and Investment Bank Client ExecutivesAct as the primary touchpoint between Trade & Working Capital and its clients, leading coordination across functions for sales opportunitiesOriginate new business and pitch ideas to key executives such as CFOs, Treasurers, and CPOsIdentify emerging client challenges and provide strategic input to shape the T&WC innovation agendaRequired qualifications, skills and capabilities:
5+ years of Sales, Relationship Management experienceStrong working knowledge of the Trade and Working Capital Finance product set, especially Receivables Finance and Supply Chain FinanceProven experience in managing client relationships, including understanding key decision makers, business objectives, needs, and buying behaviorAbility to foster strong partnerships with HQ and MNC bankers to enhance overall client relationshipsIn-depth knowledge of how clients utilize products and the ability to identify what adds value to themExpertise in analyzing competitor offerings and developing strategies to differentiate JPMorgan in the marketplaceStrong proficiency in credit, risk, loan, and syndication structuring to drive optimal loan returnsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams, both verbally and in writingStrategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address client challenges and market opportunitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead initiatives that drive business growthStrong analytical skills to assess market trends and client needs, and translate them into actionable strategies
