Description Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is partnering with a San Francisco–based hedge fund seeking a Trade Operations Associate to join its team. This role offers direct exposure to the investment team and broad visibility across trading, middle office, and fund operations within a performance-driven environment. The firm is looking for an operations professional who can take ownership of trade support processes and serve as a critical link between the front office and external service providers. Trade Operations Associate San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – Market Hours) $115,000–$150,000 base + discretionary bonus Position Overview The Trade Operations Associate will oversee daily operational execution across the firm’s funds, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all trade-related activity. This role interfaces regularly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance, prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators. Responsibilities + Manage daily post-trade processing across multiple strategies and fund vehicles + Oversee trade booking, allocation, affirmation, and settlement workflows + Perform reconciliations of transactions, holdings, cash balances, and P& L against counterparties and administrators + Partner closely with the investment team to resolve breaks and support execution accuracy + Assist with compliance oversight, trade monitoring, and regulatory reporting support + Coordinate with fund administrators on NAV validation and month-end/quarter-end processes + Support onboarding of new instruments, strategies, and counterparties from an operational perspective + Identify process enhancements to strengthen controls and improve scalability + Act as a liaison during audits and ongoing service provider reviews Requirements + Prior experience in trade operations, middle office, or fund operations + Hedge fund experience strongly preferred + Solid understanding of trade lifecycle mechanics and financial instruments + Experience working with prime brokers, custodians, and third-party administrators + Detail-oriented with the ability to operate effectively during market hours + Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with investment and compliance teams If you have experience supporting trading functions — particularly within a hedge fund environment — and are interested in learning more, please apply or connect with Jennifer Fukumae on LinkedIn for additional details.
