Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to help establish and strengthen our global trade compliance framework. This role is instrumental in developing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency across international transactions.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement trade compliance policies, standards, and procedures.Advise on tariff classifications, particularly HTS codes.Support international transactions, with a strong focus on China-related trade.Guide the organization on EORI and VAT registration and compliance.Facilitate effective communication with freight forwarders and customs brokers.Provide insight into drawback processes and support relevant documentation.Advise on transfer pricing in the context of global trade compliance.Essential SkillsSolid experience with international trade, including China.Expertise in HTS code classification and customs regulations.Familiarity with EORI and VAT systems.Strong communication skills and experience working with freight carriers.Exposure to duty drawbacks and transfer pricing considerations.Ability to work independently and deliver actionable, practical recommendations.Additional Skills & QualificationsChina background with tariffs is a significant advantage.Experience in the medical device world, particularly electromechanical, is beneficial.Experience with international trade.Knowledge of drawbacks and transfer pricing considerations.Expertise in HTS code and customs.Ability to develop and implement trade compliance policies set by a consulting agency.Work Environment
The position is remote, providing flexibility and the ability to work from any location.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $43.00/hr.
