As a Trade and Working Capital Specialist - Senior Associate in our Trade Finance Team, you will structure standby letters of credit and guarantees, providing expert advice to support clients' trade finance needs. Your role is crucial in managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job responsibilities

Develops and structures standby letters of credit and guarantees tailored to clients' trade finance requirementsCollaborates with clients to understand their business needs and provide customized solutionsConducts thorough risk assessments to ensure the security and viability of trade finance transactionsImplements risk mitigation strategies to protect the interests of both the bank and its clientsBuilds and maintains strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their trade finance needsProvides ongoing support and guidance to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyaltyEnsures all trade finance transactions comply with relevant regulations and internal policiesStays updated on changes in trade finance regulations and industry best practicesPrepares and reviews documentation related to standby letters of credit and guaranteesMaintains accurate records and generates reports for management and regulatory purposesWorks closely with internal teams, including credit, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of trade finance transactions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of URDG / ISP 98 and UCP 600Relevant experience in trade finance, focusing on standby letters of credit and guarantees wording negotiationStrong knowledge of trade finance instruments, risk management, and regulatory complianceExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationshipsProficiency in drafting and tracking changing wording using Microsoft Office Suite
