Trade And Compliance Specialist

Will assist in the development, implementation, and administration of programs to ensure compliance with U.S. Export/Import regulations as outlined by the Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other regulatory agencies.

Application of Optional Skills:\n\nERP and data analytics streamline compliance tracking and reporting.\nForeign language skills improve coordination with international partners.\nProject management supports implementation of new compliance procedures and audits.\nRequired Education/Certifications/Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.\n2–5 years of experience in trade compliance, logistics, or import/export operations.\nCertifications such as Certified Export Specialist (CES) or Licensed Customs Broker are advantageous but not mandatory.\nKey Attributes of Success:\n\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage documentation and classification.\nProactive communicator who can train others and collaborate across departments.\nAnalytical thinker capable of interpreting complex regulations and applying them practically.\nAdaptable and resourceful, especially when navigating evolving trade laws or urgent shipment issues.\nDesired/Nice-to-Have Skills:\n\nExperience with ACE, AESDirect, and automated screening tools.\nFamiliarity with Maquiladora operations or other cross-border manufacturing environments.\nExposure to internal auditing or compliance program development.\nKnowledge of global trade agreements and free trade zones.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
