Description Trade Accountant – Requires travel to NYC We’re seeking an experienced Trade Accountant to join a dynamic team supporting a leading energy trading firm in New York. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has strong accounting expertise. What You’ll Do: + Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS accounting standards + Prepare, review, and post recurring journal entries (revenue, expenses, accruals) + Investigate trade differences using internal trading software + Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and P& L accounts using the general ledger, subsystems, and financial statements + Support internal and external audits + Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes + Perform variance reporting and ad-hoc analysis Compensation & Benefits: + Base salary range: $110,000 – $120,000, based on experience and qualifications + Eligibility for discretionary bonus + Comprehensive employee benefits package Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + 3–5 years of accounting experience (Big 4 CPA experience preferred) + Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a high-performing trading environment while contributing to key accounting and finance operations.
