Tractor Trailer Mechanic

Currently hiring off-shift Trail Mechanic's in the Minooka, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Shift: 2nd/3rd Available.

2nd shift Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-10pm3rd shift Tuesday-Saturday 10pm-7am

Description

Perform preventative and reactive repairs on tractors and trailers.Conduct preventive maintenance such as lube, filters, interior/exterior cab inspections, tire inspections (tread, inflation, rotation, wear), oil changes, and wheel seals.Carry out engine work, including replacing alternators, starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignments, S-Cams, and U-Joints.Conduct MIG and Stick welding as needed, such as welding on mud-flaps and brackets.Utilize torch and grinder as necessary.Use a laptop to connect to engines for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.Track work through internal Transman (TMT) software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

5+ years' experience performing maintenance on Tractors and TrailersAbility to troubleshoot equipment via laptop.Experience working with clutches, brakes, wheel seals, and suspension.Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding.Experience working on refers and possession of a refrigeration license.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $34.00/hr.
