Tractor Trailer Mechanic

Currently hiring a Tractor Trailer Mechanic in the Minooka, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift available.

2pm-10pm (Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs)10pm-7am (Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs) Job DescriptionPerform preventative and reactive repairs on tractors and trailers.Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire inspection, and wheel seal replacement.Handle engine work including replacement of alternators, starters, and other components.Conduct MIG/Stick welding and use a torch and grinder as needed.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using a laptop and internal software.Experience with trailer repair and maintenance on trailers, semis, or tractors.Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.Knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, and electrical systems.Ability to troubleshoot equipment via laptop.Experience in diagnostic and repair work.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years' experience in maintenance on trailers or semis.Experience with clutches, brakes, wheel seals, and suspension.Ability to MIG/Stick Weld.Experience working on refrigeration units.Refrigeration License.Why Work Here?

The Minooka site focuses mostly on trailer work, while the other location specializes in engine and body work for tractors. Candidates must provide their own steel-toed boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $34.00/hr.
