**Tractor Trailer Mechanic** Currently hiring off-shift Tractor/Trailer Mechanics in the Minooka, IL area. Hiring immediately. **Job Description** Perform preventative and reactive repairs to tractors and trailers, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire inspections, and engine work. Utilize various tools and software for diagnostics and repairs. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative and reactive repairs on tractors and trailers. + Conduct preventive maintenance including lube, filters, interior/exterior cab cleaning, tire inspection, oil changes, and wheel seals. + Replace engine components such as alternators, starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, and U-Joints. + Conduct MIG/Stick welding for necessary repairs. + Utilize a torch and grinder for specific tasks. + Use a laptop to diagnose and troubleshoot engine issues. + Track and manage work using internal Transman (TMT) software. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in maintenance on trailers or semis. + Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment via laptop. + Experience with clutches, brakes, wheel seals, and suspension. + Ability to MIG/Stick weld. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working on refrigeration units. + Refrigeration license. **Why Work Here?** The company offers flexible shifts with openings on both 2nd and 3rd shifts, providing opportunities for work-life balance.
