Job Title: Toxicology Lab AssistantJob Description As a Toxicology Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the laboratory's daily operations. You will be responsible for handling and processing a high volume of samples, ensuring the efficient flow of specimens through the lab. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and safety of our diagnostic services. Responsibilities + Pull samples out of storage or walk-in fridges and deliver them to technicians for retesting. + Manage 200-300 samples simultaneously and scan them into the tracking system. + Receive and sort clinical lab specimens. + Prepare specimens for testing and analysis. + Perform scanning and data entry of specimen and patient information. + Ensure all lab equipment is operational and perform minor instrumentation maintenance. + Troubleshoot specimen-related issues. + Replenish test bench supplies as needed. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment. + Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested. + Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards. Essential Skills + Experience as a Lab Assistant or in a medical or lab environment (academic experience is acceptable). + High school diploma or GED. + Ability to stand for the majority of the shift. + Comfortable handling human samples. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must be at least 18 years old. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment You will work in a laboratory environment, with shifts scheduled from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Training will be provided on Mondays.
