**Job Title: Toolroom Technician** Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Toolroom Technician to join our team for the 2nd shift (2 PM-10 PM, Monday to Friday). The successful candidate will initially train on the 1st shift (6 AM-2 PM) for the first few weeks. The primary responsibility is to service and troubleshoot molds and dies effectively. Responsibilities + Read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Operate all machine shop equipment, including milling machines (both manual and CNC), lathes, surface grinders, and other machinery. + Service and repair progressive high-speed stamping dies and high cavitation plastic injection molds. + Work unsupervised to a tolerance of .0001”. + Set up and troubleshoot molds and dies using Schaal high-speed stamping presses and Sumitomo plastic mold injection machines. + Install, set up, and remove dies for rubber operations to meet correct part specifications. + Dismantle and reassemble molds and dies to ensure proper working conditions. + Sharpen and chamfer dies as necessary. + Maintain records for inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of all molds and dies. + Troubleshoot trimmer and die problems. + Perform troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of tooling equipment and machinery to ensure quality and efficiency. + Adhere to all safety rules in accordance with SOPs, GMP, and federal, state, and local safety regulations. Essential Skills + Proficient in tool and die, tooling, mold, die repair, and injection mold techniques. + Experience as a maintenance technician, with the ability to troubleshoot machinery and maintain molds. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + 5+ years of experience in a machine shop role. + High School or GED equivalent. + Proficient in basic arithmetic and computer skills. + Able to speak, read, and write English to understand operating and related procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to communicate goals in an inspirational manner. + Experience with GMP, SOPs, and other procedural implementations. + Other job titles include Tool & Die Maker, plastic injection mold maker, and Class A machinist.
