**Job Title: Toolmaker** Job Description As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for fixing, repairing, and machining new components for stamping presses. You will start by disassembling equipment that has broken or failed and perform precise calculations for cutting paths and dimensions using manual and CNC mills and lathes. Your duties include cleaning and lubricating machinery, determining proper cutting tools, and setting up machines while adjusting speeds and feeds. You will also apply G&M code and assist with rigging operations as directed. Collaboration with experienced machinists will enhance your understanding of blueprint reading and equipment operation, supporting your growth within the Machine Repair department. Responsibilities + Disassemble stamping press equipment that has broken or failed. + Perform precise calculations for cutting paths and dimensions. + Operate manual and CNC mills and lathes. + Clean and lubricate machinery. + Determine proper cutting tools and adjust machine speeds and feeds. + Apply G&M code and assist with rigging operations. + Collaborate with experienced machinists to enhance blueprint reading and equipment operation skills. Essential Skills + Proficiency in manual mill, lathe, and grinders. + Experience with CNC mill and/or lathe operating and G code editing. + Mechanical expertise around industrial machines, including presses and CNCs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Maintenance for stamping processes. + Mastercam programming ability. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Pontiac, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
