Job Title: Tooling TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled tooling repair technician to join our injection mold department. This role involves working with molds used in automotive injection molding and requires a focus on preventative maintenance and production tool repair. The tooling technician will be responsible for maintaining molds with tonnages ranging from 900 lbs to 2500 tons, across 34 machines, to ensure the production of high-quality interior components for the automotive industry.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on injection molds to ensure optimal performance.Conduct production tool repair on molds ranging from 900 lbs to 2500 tons.Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems including hydraulic ejection, lines, and core signals in hydraulic cylinders.Maintain and repair injection mold tooling, including diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting up to 240v.Conduct grinding, mold repair, and maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of tools.Operate diagnostic testing equipment to identify and resolve issues in mold operations.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in production tool repair for injection molds.Proficiency in hydraulic maintenance and repair, particularly with hydraulic ejection and core signals.Experience with at least one of the following machinery: Toshiba, KM, or similar.2+ years of experience with hot runners, including troubleshooting and repairing valve gates within molds.1+ year of experience with standard electrical troubleshooting and repair, up to 240v.Ability to test OHM's and use volt meters to assess electrical connections.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with tooling, mold, mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical repair.Familiarity with diagnostic testing and troubleshooting methodologies.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
