Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Technician for 1st or 2nd shift. The Toolroom Technician will be responsible for maintaining production, ensuring quality performance levels, and efficiently using manufacturing equipment. You will support the automotive and medical fields by manufacturing specific products for clients using aluminum and rubber. The most important aspect of this role is the ability to service and troubleshoot molds and dies.
ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints accurately.Operate all machine shop equipment, including milling machines (manual and CNC), lathes, surface grinders, and other equipment.Service and repair progressive high-speed stamping dies.Service and repair high cavitation plastic injection molds.Work unsupervised to a tolerance of .0001”.Set up and troubleshoot molds and dies using Schaal high-speed stamping presses and Sumitomo plastic mold injection machines.Install, set up, and remove dies for rubber operation to correct part specifications.Dismantle and reassemble molds and dies to proper working condition.Sharpen and chamfer dies.Maintain required records for inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of all molds and dies.Troubleshoot trimmer and die problems.Perform troubleshooting, installation, and upkeep of tooling equipment and machinery; make adjustments and changes to maintain quality and efficiency.Adhere to all safety rules in accordance with SOPs, GMP as well as federal, state, and local safety regulations.Essential SkillsExperience in tool and die making.Proficiency in troubleshooting machinery and maintaining molds.Ability to read blueprints and operate machine shop equipment.Experience servicing and repairing progressive high-speed stamping dies and high cavitation plastic injection molds.Ability to work unsupervised to a tolerance of .0001”.Set up and troubleshoot molds and dies using specific machinery.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required.5+ years of experience in a machine shop role.Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand operating and other related procedures.Effective communication skills.Basic arithmetic skills.Basic computer skills.Ability to learn and implement GMP, SOPs, and other procedures.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
