Tool Room Technician
**Job Title: Tool Room Technician** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated 3rd shift Tool Room Technician to join our team in Troy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing molds and performing maintenance tasks within our facility. The working hours are from 10 pm to 6 am, starting Monday night through Friday, with the possibility of a 6-day schedule including Saturdays. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot tool problems both conceptually and on the shop floor. + Perform conventional machining tasks, including lathe work, tool sharpening, surface grinding, welding, drilling, tapping/threading, and polishing. + Complete conventional machining, spotting, timing, and assembly of molds. + Execute revisions, repairs, and upgrades to molds or dies. + Operate all machines and tools necessary for mold or die build and repair functions proficiently. + Review prints and programs to develop processes for job completion. + Maintain quality of parts through inspection and effective communication with teammates. + Collaborate with designers, programmers, and assemblers to produce or repair necessary components. + Identify process and equipment problems and suggest improvements. + Mentor apprentices to enhance their skill levels. Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold repair. + Proficiency with tool room equipment, including mills, lathes, Bridgeport, hand tools, and surface grinders. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Tier 1 operations is a plus. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Orion, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
