Job Description:

Performs typical machine shop and mold press operations to support production.

Responsibilities:

Performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and de-burring tasks.Assists with machine set-up.Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines.Performs other duties as required.

Education: High School

HS or GED, vocational training desired 

Experience: 12 months

At least one year experience in a factory machine shop., Or an equivalent combination of education and experience., Alternate education and experience considered based on individual candidate.

Physical:

Most of the work accomplished while standing, although some sitting is involved.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Appropriate safety gear must be word as needed.Standing, up to 2 hours per workday

Skills:

Competent in various machine functions.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools.Ability to perform simple shop math.
