Essential Responsibilities

Complete machine set-up and load tools as requiredUtilize tool room equipment such as Bridgeport Mills, engine lathers, surface and internal grinding equipment, hand tools, drills, saws, insert tooling, etc.Ability to read blueprints, hand sketches, and specs.  Ability to use CAD or other digital design tools to document ideas or work closely with an engineer to complete this taskPerform Jaw cutting and re-cutting.Set fixture offsets as required.Verify correct tool hardware, tool diameter, tool radius, drill length, and end mills.Verify accuracy of tool offset changes as needed.Perform periodic inspections of calibration.Maintain accurate work records.Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.Support our team concept and learn/perform other duties as required.Run production machines as neededCommunicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal.Follow and promote safe work practices.Support LEAN initiatives.Lift light to medium weight in an environment that may occasionally require crouching, stooping and/or awkward work positions.Support the design of tools and fixtures

 

Requirements include.

High School diploma or equivalent2+ years of CNC machining experience2+ years of tool room experienceExperience with Bridgeport mills and engine lathes, surface grinding, and drilling.Ability to read, understand, and utilize procedures, sketches, and blueprints as well as perform basic mathematical calculations.

Desirable characteristics

Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of precision measuring equipment and demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.Water Jet experienceWire EDMGun Drill and precision boring experience

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
