**Job Title: Tool & Die Maker** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team in the production of parts for mowers, power equipment, and lawn and garden products. You will work with a company that services both international and domestic clients, including some of the biggest players in the power equipment industry. **Responsibilities** + Produce tools, dies, and progressive dies for metal parts primarily in metal stamping. + Lay out metal stock and set up and operate machinery. + Fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures. + Shape and trim blocks to desired lengths as needed. + File, grind, shim, and adjust parts to fit them together. + Inspect finished dies for quality assurance. + Position machine parts on tables using angle plates and v-blocks. + Conduct test runs on completed parts. + Set up and operate drill presses. + Smooth and polish parts and tools as necessary. + Verify specifications and alignment of parts. + Understand and apply metalworking processes including stock removal, chip control, heat treating, and plating. **Essential Skills** + Experience with blueprints. + Comprehensive understanding of the metalworking process. + Manufacturing industry experience. + Tool & Die experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma. + Ability and willingness to work overtime. + Desire to learn and expand skill set. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and innovative company with a strong reputation in the power equipment industry. Personal protective equipment, including glasses and ear plugs, is provided. Candidates must have steel-toed shoes and own tools if necessary. The dress code includes jeans and a button-down shirt, with an option for a company uniform available.
