Tool Crib Attendant
Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 4:00 AM What You’ll Do We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tool Crib Attendant to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will support daily production operations by ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained, organized, and readily available to our workforce. The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking tools, machine tool fixtures, measuring devices, support equipment, materials, and supplies. This role requires strict adherence to established processes, procedures, and safety standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy, accountability, and customer service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, works well independently with minimal supervision, and takes pride in contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-organized workplace. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities + Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with internal teams, clients, and vendors. + Receive, verify, stage, stock, issue, and track tools, equipment, materials, and supplies. + Inspect tool crib items and equipment for defects, wear, and proper functionality. + Issue and receive tools, parts, and equipment while maintaining accurate records using ERP/CMMS systems. + Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy within ERP/CMMS systems. + Read and interpret work orders, parts lists, and bills of material generated through the ERP/CMMS system. + Calibrate and certify measuring equipment; maintain certification records, calibration schedules, and equipment availability. + Coordinate packaging, shipping, and receiving of warranty and repair items with vendors and suppliers. + Ensure spare parts inventory is received, maintained, and distributed in accordance with established procedures. + Audit, identify, consolidate, and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory. + Maintain accurate electronic logs of items issued and returned. + Prepare for and assist with quarterly and annual inventory audits. + Safely operate material handling equipment. + Cross-train and develop additional skills to support flex labor pool assignments as needed. What We’re Looking For + High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a tool crib, inventory control, maintenance, or manufacturing environment preferred. + Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask. + Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and manufacturing equipment. + Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and technical documentation. + Working knowledge of ERP/CMMS systems preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment. + Ability to lift up to 65 pounds periodically and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working on feet for extended periods. + Valid driver’s license required. The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual base pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
