Tool Crib Attendant

Job Description

The Tool Crib Attendant receives, stores, sets up kits, and issues hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment used in manufacturing processes. The role includes assembling kits of tools for specific jobs, issuing tools and equipment to workers, and maintaining records of tools and equipment issued and returned. The attendant also prepares periodic inventory, receives and stores incoming tools, inspects and measures tools for defects, and maintains order and cleanliness of the tool crib.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble kits of tools for specific jobs according to instructionsIssue tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returnedPrepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipmentReceive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisition stock to replenish inventory from the tooling leadInspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, and report damage or wear to supervisorsDeliver tools or equipment to workersMark and identify tools and equipmentMaintain order and cleanliness of tool cribFollow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety proceduresPerform other duties as assignedEssential SkillsExperience in inventory control and parts managementMechanically inclined with good manual dexterityAbility to use hand working tools (hammers, squares, scales, etc.)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsEffective communication skills both verbally and in writingDependable and responsibleAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentCapable of withstanding all weather variations, due to primarily working outdoorsPerform routine maintenance and repairs on various facility and recycling systemsGeneral labor, wiring, electrical, assembly line, electronic assembly, mechanical aptitude, building maintenance, shipping and receiving, forklift operationAdditional Skills & QualificationsBasic MS Access, Excel, and keyboarding skillsPerform mathematical calculations using a calculatorGood understanding of the American standard decimal and fraction systemAbility to multi-task and follow shifting priorities under deadlines and time-sensitive conditionsSelf-motivated with strong organizational skillsGood people skillsAbility to deal effectively with multiple internal customers' needs simultaneouslyWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a machine shop that manufactures structural parts for aerospace. The role primarily involves working outdoors, hence the ability to withstand all weather variations is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
