Our Stratford Assembly & Flight Operations \(CAFO\) facility is key to delivering innovative aircraft solutions\. THE WORK
In this role, you will lead the Tool Control organization within CAFO\. You will work in a fast\-paced, customer\-focused environment, maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders\. You'll collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to tackle Tool Control challenges, with a particular emphasis on transformation and inventory reduction\. You'll perform a wide range of analytical and administrative duties, including material planning, inventory control, and supply chain functions\.
Your responsibilities will also include oversight of Total Tool Control and guiding the insertion of new technologies to enhance our digital footprint\. You’ll be a key driver of continuous improvement, leveraging your knowledge of critical process inputs and outputs to support the department’s operating plan\. Additionally, you’ll participate in quality and safety reviews, lead resulting improvements, and ensure that root cause corrective actions are taken for any non\-conformances\.

You excel in problem\-solving and are known for your ability to drive issues to completion\. You bring a customer\-first mindset, balancing the needs of both internal and external stakeholders\. You’re motivated by leading change and process improvements and are skilled at building effective working relationships across diverse teams\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
• Experience with high‑value, controlled‑critical tools \(e\.g\., gauges, fixtures, jigs, specialty tooling\)\.
• Problem‑solving mindset: root‑cause analysis, corrective‑action generation\.
• Proven ability to train and mentor represented hourly workforce\.
• Strong communication—both written \(reports, SOPs\) and verbal \(briefings, safety talks\)\.
**Desired Skills:**
• Ability to author clear, compliant Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions\.
• Experience leading change‑overs \(new tool introductions, process updates\)\.
• Build and maintain tooling inventory registers, calibration schedules, and loss‑rate KPI dashboards in Excel\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
