Job Title: Tool and Die Maker
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to interpret sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesVerify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.Setup and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies, and repair and modify gauges, jigs, and dies.Design templates and jigs to be used as work aids for convenient fabrication of products and parts.Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies, and progressive dies.Collaborate with team members to solve problems.File and finish workpieces using appropriate hand tools to ensure products are smooth and fit together properly.Select appropriate metals and materials based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications.Essential SkillsExperience with four-slide machines and setup.Proficiency in troubleshooting machinery.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in tooling and die repair.Skillful operation of lathes, mills, and micrometers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with lathes, mills, and shapers.Why Work Here?
