**Job Title: Tool and Die Maker** **Job Description** As a Tool and Die Maker, you will support manufacturing operations through the creation of plastic injection molds and components, mold triage, tooling repair, and routine maintenance. You will perform operations common to the toolmaker trade and ensure high precision in machining parts with tolerances within .0005 inches. You will develop specifications from blueprints and sketches, maintain a neat workspace, and strictly adhere to safety requirements. **Responsibilities** + Create and repair plastic injection molds and components. + Perform routine mold maintenance, cleanings, and tool change overs. + Conduct routine machine maintenance. + Operate tool room machinery such as lathes, mills, and grinders, both manual and CNC. + Machine parts with tight tolerances where applicable. + Maintain an organized personal workspace. + Develop specifications from blueprints and sketches. + Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper attire and use of protective equipment. + Consistently attend work on time. + Demonstrate responsibility and pride in precise and correct work. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman tool and die maker certification. + Proficiency in lathe, mill, and tool room operations. + Ability to read blueprints and perform manual machining. + Knowledge of micrometers, depth micrometers, and dial calipers. + Capability to troubleshoot and set up machining operations. + Basic math skills including geometry and trigonometry. + Ability to lift and move heavy objects with assistance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic programming knowledge for CNC mills such as Hurco Win-Max. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines. + Capability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks. **Why Work Here?** Join a company with a long-standing reputation in a clean and well-organized environment. The company specializes in manufacturing cabinets, cartons, and containers for cleaning products used in healthcare and industrial settings. The work environment is clean, organized, and requires adherence to safety protocols. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
