**Job Title: Tool and Die Maker**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die technician responsible for Transfer and Progressive Dies. The role involves setting up dies in the press, troubleshooting dies both inside and outside of the press, industrial maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting on machines. The technician will also handle general maintenance, machining of parts using manual mills and lathes, tool cutting, welding (MIG, ARC, Stick & Tig), fabrication, and blueprint reading. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs and utilize overhead cranes and forklifts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up dies in the press.
+ Troubleshoot dies inside and outside of the press.
+ Perform industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on machines.
+ Conduct general maintenance and machining of parts using manual mills and lathes.
+ Perform tool cutting and welding (MIG, ARC, Stick & Tig).
+ Engage in fabrication and blueprint reading.
+ Lift up to 50lbs and operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
**Essential Skills**
+ Must possess a journeyman card.
+ Must have own tools.
+ Ability to operate manual machines to machine parts, including manual mills and lathes.
+ Strong attendance record.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in tool and die repair, stamping, and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in the use of grinders, hydraulic systems, micrometers, and die maintenance.
+ Skill in manual machining and surface grinding.

**Work Environment**
The facility manufactures transmission heads for major automotive companies such as Ford, GM, and Stellantis, focusing on high-volume engine parts. The role is for the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, with initial training on the day shift. The position offers 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday, with a direct hire into a union facility under UAW Local 12. Employees receive a 2% shift premium for off shifts and become union members after 45 days.

This is a Permanent position based out of Maumee, Ohio.

The pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $76960.00/yr.
