TMP Maintenance Supervisor - Autobody
Overview ***This position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** Under the supervision of the FMS Maintenance Manager, oversees the day-to-day execution of the vehicle autobody maintenance program. Directly supervises Shop Leads who are responsible for all assigned Autobody Maintenance Section personnel. Is responsible for planning and scheduling workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, equipment, and facilities. Prepares, analyzes, and briefs reports on maintenance schedules, production, performance, and trends across the department. Ensures effective enforcement of established policies and procedures. Provides oversight of Autobody Technicians that perform repairs, replacements, and other alterations to the exteriors of motor vehicles. Performs diagnostic assessments to ensure that all issues have been detected and remedied. Prepares vehicles for body repair work. Works to restore vehicles to best possible working condition by repairing, replacing, and upgrading features of their exterior. Ensures that each vehicle is roadworthy upon completion of work. Consistently maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Trains and assists lower-level technicians. Maintains a clean work area with attention to maintaining tools and equipment in a proper state of repair. Understands and complies with regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Adhere to maintenance program production schedules and ensures all mission are executed on time and at the highest quality possible. + Supervises and directs subcontracted labor ensuring project goals are met and standards are maintained + Coordinates staffing requirements and technical approach for task orders solicitation + Supervise the execution of the current vehicle services and maximum utilization of equipment usage. Track miles/kilometers and hours used for each piece of equipment. + Ensure that the responsibility, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood. + Adheres to and enforces the key control program + Responsible for prioritizing shop work and assigning appropriate teams to work + Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues that may arise with service. Assist with disciplinary action, when appropriate. + Implements and maintain a safe workplace program, ensuring safety is the highest priority. + Communicates professionally, both orally and written. + Interacts professionally with the customer and other agencies. + Performs other duties as required. Qualifications + MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Must be high school graduate or equivalent. + A valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operators License are required. + Experience: + Eight (8) years’ experience in heavy equipment and automotive maintenance operations or equivalent with at least five (5) years of experience as a supervisor. + Skills: + Ability to demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in a professional demeanor is required. + Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multinational staff, superiors and ranking military offices. + Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, with the ability to understand the effect of decisions is required. + Moderate proficiency in the use of MS Office. + High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately. + High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately is required. + Ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints both verbally and in writing. + Must have strong interpersonal skills. + A collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork is required. + Time management skills due to fast-moving, demanding work environment are required. + Working Conditions: + Work is generally conducted in an out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climate conditions. Work will require stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where potential health risk could exist due to exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. + Physical Requirements: + Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. + Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
