Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Title Clerk to manage and process title applications for both new and used vehicles. The successful candidate will handle various paperwork related to vehicle ownership, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
ResponsibilitiesProcess paperwork to establish or transfer ownership of a vehicle, including registration paperwork, license plate tags, and tax documents.Verify the accuracy of VIN numbers, odometer readings, releases of liens, and titles.Enter financial data into the accounting system and verify its accuracy.Submit title paperwork and ensure all documentation is complete and correct.Monitor and update customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies, missing documents, or errors.Send out bills or contracts for signing, ensuring all agreements are properly executed.Communicate with customers, providing updates on the tag process, and ensuring excellent customer service.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding vehicle title processes.Essential SkillsProficiency in administrative customer service.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data entry.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Title Clerk role.Excellent internal and external communication skills.High level of attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Out-of-state experience highly preferred.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Effective communication skills across multiple departments.Work Environment
This role is situated within an office environment, working collaboratively on a team of five. The position demands a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain focus in a dynamic setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
