Description As a Technical Program Manager specializing in Electrical Engineering at Amazon, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex electrical engineering projects from concept to production. You will serve as the technical bridge between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure successful project execution while maintaining Amazon's high standards for quality and innovation. Key job responsibilities • Lead electrical engineering programs through the complete product development lifecycle • Develop comprehensive project plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements • Identify and mitigate technical and program risks through data-driven analysis and proactive problem-solving • Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders • Drive continuous improvement in electrical engineering processes and methodologies • Manage vendor and supplier relationships for electrical components and systems • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements for electrical systems About the team Our Power Resiliency team develops innovative solutions that power Amazon's operations across all miles of business via permanent generators, mobile generators, battery energy storage, capacitance banks, and other technology. We work with electric utilities on network strategies to support reliability needs on the network as well as procure expected power demand for expansions or new launch facilities. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields - • 5+ years of experience in technical program management or electrical engineering - • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional technical teams - • Demonstrated experience managing complex electrical engineering projects - • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, components, and systems - • Experience with project management methodologies and tools Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - project management certification such as PMP, Scrum, or other Agile certification - • Technical experience with capacity based distributed energy resources - • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical components and systems - • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (UL, CE, FCC, etc.) - • Experience with electric utilities and electrical testing equipment - • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making - • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
