Contract to Hire position$30.00 to $34.00 /annuallyFirst ShiftPerform TIG welding on stainless steel and/or aluminum components, producing high-quality, precision welds to meet detailed prints, tolerances, and quality standards.Set up TIG welding equipment, select proper fillers and settings, and inspect finished welds for accuracy, appearance, and structural integrity.Fabricate, assemble, and repair stainless steel and other metal equipment used in cheese production and packaging.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.Perform welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), cutting, grinding, and finishing of components.Modify and repair machinery, conveyors, tanks, and other plant equipment to meet production needs.Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify fabrication needs and provide timely solutions.Ensure all work complies with GMP, food safety, and OSHA safety standards.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of tools and materials.Tig Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in fabrication, welding, or industrial maintenance (food manufacturing experience preferred).Must Have 2+ years of TIG weldingProficiency in reading mechanical drawings and schematics.Skilled in MIG/TIG welding, cutting, and metal finishing.Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, sanitary welding, and food-grade equipment standards.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in welding/fabrication preferred.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
