**Job Title: TIG Welder** **Job Description** This position involves setting up and maintaining welding equipment, and performing TIG and/or MIG welding as per provided instructions. The role requires using fixtures or table setups with clamps or angle plates to achieve precise shapes and dimensions, working to tight tolerances, and welding in sequences that minimize warpage and distortion. Candidates may also repair or rework parts to restore required tolerances affected by manufacturing processes. In addition to welding, the role involves assisting in other areas of the plant, such as grinding, straightening, and metal finishing, to meet final product finish requirements. The position requires the use of measuring equipment to check dimensions, tolerances, and visual conditions of parts, as well as the ability to read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings. **Responsibilities** + Set up and maintain welding equipment. + Perform TIG welding according to instructions. + Use fixtures or table setups with clamps or angle plates to produce correct shapes and dimensions. + Work to tight tolerances and minimize warpage and distortion during welding. + Repair or rework parts affected by manufacturing processes. + Assist in grinding, straightening, and metal finishing to meet product finish requirements. + Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring gauges to verify physical dimensions and tolerances. + Read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings. **Essential Skills** + 4-5 years of experience in TIG welding. + Experience in welding sheet metal or thin gauge metals. + Proficiency in blueprint reading and working with precision sheet metal drawings. + Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum. + Proficiency in using tape measure and precision measuring tools to tight tolerances. + Focus on aesthetics and clean welds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CWI certification is a nice-to-have for long-term value. + Openness to training and certification in AWS D17.1 (Aerospace) standards. + AWS certifications D1.1 and D17.1 are advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a clean, climate-controlled shop with **100% company-paid healthcare** premiums.
