Western Kentucky University, Department of Athletics, is seeking applications for Ticket Office Graduate Assistant (one position) beginning July 1, 2026. This is a 12-month, part-time position that reports to the General Manager of Ticket Sales and Operations. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive.  Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

Serve as one of the primary ticketing contacts for all 6 ticketed sports Oversee out student-workers and train them on all ticketed offers and packages Primary contact for groups at games and will execute any promotional offers that come with a group experience Expected to make at least 20 sales calls a day for targeted groups Will also learn how to prospect groups or potential season ticket holders from internal trainings or trainings with Taymar Create promo codes, ticket offers, and other ticket packages based on the need of the 6 ticketed sports. Will become proficient in Ticketmaster and Archtics by end of the 12 months

Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:

Excellent written and verbal skills Exemplary interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills Experience being able to manage a team preferred Keen attention to detail  Self-motivated Experience in TicketMaster or Archtics preferred Must have valid driver’s license Ability to lift and move athletics equipment up to 50 pounds.

Compensation:

$1,100 stipend, paid monthly. Scholarship will cover full tuition expenses for two classes per semester. Does not cover course related fees or textbooks. The candidate must have earned a baccalaureate degree and be admitted as a full-time student in any graduate program at Western Kentucky University, effective fall 2026. This position is a two-year commitment, renewed after one year based on satisfactory academic and work-related performance.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sport Management or related field Experience working in college or professional sports Acceptance into a graduate program at Western Kentucky University and maintain minimum 3.0 GPA in graduate program
