LifeBridge Health (LBH), one of Maryland’s largest and most comprehensive health care providers, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join our Division of Thoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery and to partner with neighboring entity Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). Sinai Hospital of Baltimore Northwest Hospital Carroll Hospital GBMCOutpatient offices are located at Sinai Hospital, Carroll Hospital and GBMC.
This full-time position includes a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, with a mix of open and minimally invasive procedures. The practice is well-integrated with other surgical and medical subspecialties and is supported by a highly skilled team of advanced practice providers, residents, nurse navigators, and other allied health professionals. Practice would consist of time divided between the LBH and GBMC Thoracic Surgery divisions with dedicated support at both facilities.

Key Features of the Role Multisite Practice Model: Shared time between GBMC and LBH clinics with flexibility to shape your clinical mix. Thoracic Call: Only for assigned and unassigned thoracic patients with resident and APP coverage for 1st call at Sinai and NW and APP support for the urgent chest tubes at GBMC. State of the Art Technology: ION robotic technology along with access to robotic and minimally invasive technology (with access to several DaVinci XI robots in all OR’s), collaborative OR infrastructure, and strong clinical referral networks. Collaborative & Supported Care Model: Partner with pulmonology, medical oncology, gastroenterology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, all surgical sub-specialties, hospitalists, advanced practice providers and surgical residents. Program Growth & Innovation: Opportunity to contribute to program development, quality improvement, and academic scholarship. Newly developed lung screening and nodule program with nurse navigator and AI database support. Teaching & Mentorship: Active involvement in our highly competitive ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency (24 residents, 5+1 format). Research: Opportunity to participate in resident-affiliated and independent research. Academic Appointment: Affiliation with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, with opportunity for faculty appointment. Collaborative Networks: Long-standing partnerships with Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Shock Trauma, enhancing educational and clinical resources.
