How will you make an impact in this role?

The Third Party Acquiring Relationship Executive is responsible for handling Third Party Relationship under the OptBlue and Payfacs Models. Its primary focused is ensuring productive and profitable relationships with partners that support American Express objective of maximizing Amex Cards Acceptance across Small Merchant in Mexico.


•    Owning Relationship with Payfacs Partners
•    Engaging with acquiring partners to generate strategies that deliver value for both, American Express and Partner
•    Devising and deploying strategies that will ensure American Express is available as payment method across all partner´s product (e.g. POS, contactless, e-commerce)
•    Leading tactical strategies to manage the sponsored merchant engagement funnel, ensuring enablement, engagement, welcomed acceptance and activation to maximize Cardmember POC and Business Volume.
•    Ensure Compliance and Control Management

The incumbent will work in partnership with internal teams across Global Acquiring Capabilities, Marketing, PCG, Pricing, GCO, GSG among others.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of Experience in payment industry.Demonstrated commercial experience and relationship management skills of external partnerships supported by strong communication skills to influence others in a challenging environment. Ability to analyze and identify the root cause of problems to provide accurate solutions and drive results.Understanding of basic financials drivers.Ability to work in groups, build strong Blue Box linkages across multiple functions.Personal accountability to move forward for achieving targets.Spanish and English language fluency.
