Role Definition

Provides support to product development team and carries out research and development tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

Assisting in development of fixtures, concepts, and prototypes for research and development and market analysis.

Making detailed observations, analysing data, and interpreting results.

Compiling results and preparing reports and documentation of outcomes.

Assisting in the building, testing of prototypes.

Developing and maintain schedules for building and testing machines.

Coordinate various site works conducted by external providers.

Manage limited parts ordering and tracking.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of testing.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve problems in a product development environment.

Project Management: Assist with managing various projects that support machine builds and testing.

Additional information:

This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Burnie office.
