Test Technician
**Test Technician** **Overview** We are looking for a skilled Test Technician who is familiar with the use of basic hand and power tools to assemble and adapt various mechanisms and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have experience in light manufacturing and shop equipment, as well as basic electronics components and methods, including wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and using a multimeter. The role also requires a solid understanding of 3D modeling and file export and sharing for presentation and manufacturing purposes. The typical schedule will be 8AM-4:30PM. If you are interested in this position, then please apply today and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out within 24-48 hours. **Responsibilities** + Perform various mechanical tests in accordance with industry, customer, and/or internal specifications. + Complete product evaluation and performance analysis using test results and statistical analysis. + Conduct troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis. + Read and evaluate task assignments to assess the performance and reliability of terminals, connectors, and module level products. + Operate automated mechanical force test equipment. + Design mechanical test fixtures and collaborate with the Model Shop or vendors for fixture manufacturing. + Perform mechanical tests including Connector Mate/Unmate, Terminal Insertion/Extraction, Normal Force, Durability, Cable Pull, Linear Cycling, and Cable Flex. + Work closely with various project leaders to ensure efficient and timely project deliverables to customers. + Create technical writing and best practice documentation. + Maintain the lab and equipment, including scheduling required calibrations. + Program low-level PLC and Arduino control systems for low volume automation. **Essential Skills** + Strong proficiency with basic hand and power tools. + Experience using shop equipment like drill presses, band saws, and milling machines. + Knowledge of connectors, terminals, hookup wire, and cable assemblies. + Skills in wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and multimeter use. + Ability to program basic PLC or Arduino controls. + CAD experience for fixture design and prototyping. + Experience writing technical reports and creating documentation. + Familiarity with force-test systems and mechanical reliability testing. + Ability to interpret data and evaluate product performance statistically. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a rewarding career with a company that is experiencing significant growth over the next 3-5 years.
