Job Title: Test Technician
Job Description
You will be responsible for inspecting and testing equipment, collaborating with engineers, assemblers, and management to ensure successful testing and troubleshooting, along with maintaining records of equipment and reporting on project status.
Responsibilities
Setup, test, and troubleshoot NEMA low and medium voltage switchgear, ATS’s, circuit breakers, protective relays, and control systems.Provide internal technical support to manufacturing, engineering, and field service teams.Troubleshoot and assist in configuring control systems utilizing PLC/HMI control platforms.Perform product testing, reporting, and documentation of results.Assist with redline drawing updates.Develop and maintain effective relationships with manufacturers and vendor representatives.Project a positive, professional image in all communications with customers, vendors, and suppliers.Stay current with product updates, equipment and technology, code changes, personal certifications, and training.Develop and deliver training on client applications.Support Factory Witness Testing with customers and suppliers.Ensure equipment is safe to use, calibrated, and properly configured.Essential Skills
Proficiency in automation, electrical, and troubleshooting.Experience with schematic reading and testing.Understanding of switchgear, both low and medium voltage.Skills in PLCs, mechanical aspects, and wiring.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience or education in the electrical equipment industry and electrical equipment testing and troubleshooting.Ability to learn or experience with programming PLCs and HMIs.Understanding of 3-phase power systems is preferred, including power distribution, AC/DC, Voltage Circuit Theory, generators, circuit protection, and practical troubleshooting skills.Training in electrical theory and technologies.Experience with diesel power generation related controls and parallel systems.Experience in electrical power with experience in most types of switchgear testing.Ability to read schematics and blueprints for power, control, automation, engineering, and customer technical support.Superior problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.Ability to work safely and diligently in a semi-autonomous environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
\tWeekly Premiums $65.00 for 1 or more\tBenefits will start the first day following the month of your start date.\t401K benefit will start the first day of the month following 30-days of employment.\tNon-Union Employees are required to sign up for the IBEW Health Care Plan.
