**Job Title: Test Technician** **Job Description**
As a Test Technician in the durable goods manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will be responsible for executing test plans that align with product specifications and industry standards. Your work will directly impact product performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with engineers, production teams, and quality, you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, your contributions will support the delivery of high-quality products that meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Execute functional, performance, and reliability tests to validate product designs against specifications.
+ Analyze test data, document results, and communicate findings to engineering, quality, and production teams.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and report defects or inconsistencies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement efforts.
+ Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test cases, reports, and protocols.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic understanding of testing methodologies and quality assurance principles.
+ Familiarity with manufacturing processes and testing procedures.
+ Proficiency in using test equipment and software tools relevant to product testing.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Troubleshooting, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Schematic, Assembly, Wiring, Calibration, Multimeter, Prototype, PCB, Repair, Blueprint.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and product specifications.
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes the staging area of completed orders ready for testing prior to shipment. This area will be relocated during a remodel and reorganization of the facility.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
