**Job Title: Test Technician**
**Job Description**
The Test Technician position involves performing production tests, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining tooling and specialty equipment in the designated area. This role requires a solid understanding of electronics, testing equipment, and manufacturing processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and conduct tests on complete units and components under operational conditions.
+ Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, modifying or adjusting equipment to meet specifications.
+ Record test procedures and results, including numerical and graphical data, and recommend changes in product or test methods.
+ Maintain and use tools and equipment such as power meters, oscilloscopes, microscopes, and automated or computerized specialty equipment, including metric tools.
+ Collaborate with the engineering department to determine improved test methods and tooling for the production area.
+ Adhere to customer specifications and all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge of electronics and electrical schematic assembly.
+ Proficiency in soldering and using oscilloscopes.
+ Ability to perform electronic and optical testing using oscilloscopes, optical switches, power meters, and RF equipment.
+ Skill in diagnosing and analyzing faults or malfunctions within the area of responsibility.
+ Capability to follow specific design specifications, including orientation of power connectors and Tx Rx channels.
+ Experience with weights and measurements, including converting between English and metric measurements.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or Secondary School education.
+ Entry-level experience (0-3 years).
+ Understanding of Lean Concepts and willingness to accept continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
+ Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
+ Occasional overtime as needed.
+ Cooperation and understanding of changing priorities.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
