**Job Title: Test Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Technician to set up and perform tests per specifications using mechanical and electronic test equipment. You will troubleshoot and conduct failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level, providing detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering. Adhering to company guidelines, policies, and procedures, you will maintain a safe and clean work environment and assist other departments as needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up test equipment and perform tests according to specifications.
+ Utilize mechanical and electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, micrometers, and power supplies.
+ Troubleshoot and analyze failures of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level.
+ Provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering.
+ Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
+ Assist other departments with tasks in different production cells or locations.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow company safety rules.
+ Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry.
+ Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
+ Familiarity with procedures, work instructions, inspections, audits, and implementing corrective actions.
+ Knowledge of IPC610 and J standard.
+ 6 months to 2+ years of testing experience in actuators and controls.
+ Ability to read and communicate in English.
+ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for documentation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma required, BA/BS preferred for leadership roles.
+ Experience with material review boards and dealing with nonconformances.
**Work Environment**
Work the first shift, either Monday to Thursday or Monday to Friday with optional overtime. The environment is a manufacturing setting which can be occasionally loud, with an electrical focus. Safety glasses and steel toe shoes are required, with anti-static smocks provided. The assignment is initially temp-to-hire for 90 working days. Attendance and tenure are highly valued.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
