### Job Duties ROSENBAUER STATEMENT At Rosenbauer we pride ourselves on providing top-of-the-line fire apparatus, created with state-of-the-art technology for more than 150 years because when lives are at stake anything less is unacceptable.  As the world’s largest manufacturer of fire equipment, we make sure our vehicles, production teams, and service personnel are ready to do what is necessary to keep communities safe.  POSITION SUMMARY The Test Pit Technician performs operational and function tests of a completed apparatus on the water pump system, foam system, generator, and aerial device to ensure it meets Rosenbauer’s high quality standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.  The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.  Operate and maintain test pit equipment for pump performance and verification. Conduct pump flow, pressure, and vacuum tests per NFPA 1900. Document test results accurately and flag non-conformances. Collaborate with engineers and mechanics to troubleshoot failures. Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy. Ensure safety compliance during all testing procedures. Assist in developing standardized work instructions and test plans. Assist with in-process inspection and final inspection audits. Scheduling and overseeing UL Audits. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members. Tools to be utilized: Hand tools, power tools, torque wrench, gauges, VOM meters, and calipers. ### Minimum Education Required - ### Minimum Experience Required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: Strong mechanical and technical ability required. Strong understanding of pump performance testing and NFPA 1900 standards preferred. Familiarity with water flow, pressure gauges, and flow meters preferred. Knowledge of safety protocols for high-pressure water systems preferred. Ability to interpret performance specs preferred. Mechanical aptitude for identifying issues in plumbing or pump systems preferred. Skills: Language: Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to follow written and verbal directions. Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Computer: Basic PC Functions. Abilities: Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed. Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot. Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines. Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
