Test Operations Technician – Power the Future of Aerospace Testing

Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30.58 –per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Test Operations Technician who will play a critical role in validating advanced aerospace systems and technologies.
In this hands-on role, you’ll support the planning, execution, and documentation of complex tests across products, components, and manufacturing processes. Your work will directly contribute to system reliability, safety, and innovation in aerospace engineering.
What You’ll DoPlan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes
Design, fabricate, assemble, and analyze test systems, fixtures, components, and methodologies
Support test design and assist engineers and senior technicians with drawings, test system builds, and execution
Coordinate test requirements, determine test methods, and support test readiness reviews
Serve as a crew member for test operations and support activities
Perform system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test teardown
Analyze test data, document results, and troubleshoot test-related issues
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure assets remain within calibration cycles
Coordinate laboratory activities, maintenance, and repairs
Implement and sustain 5S practices within lab areas
Coach and train team members as needed
Required QualificationsKnowledge of electrical circuits and electrical measurement equipment
Working knowledge of hardware and computer organization
Proficiency with Microsoft and UNIX operating systems
Understanding of computing networks and cybersecurity fundamentals
Proficiency with programming tools such as C++, Java, Python, or similar
Experience with revision control tools such as Git
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems
Experience with MS Visio and Zuken wire design tools
Familiarity with power and spectrum analyzers
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams and schematics
Education & ExperienceTypically requires an Associate degree with 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience or 5+ years of related hands-on experience)

Pay Details: $30.58 per hour
