HW validation tests like the following help us to ensure that our products function under all possible environmental conditions and deserve the “automotive grade” rating.
What You Will Do
Coordinate and supervise facilities actions/activities, equipment and personnel for multiple automotive business units and their phases. Officially schedule validation effortsDetermine capability and capacity of laboratory equipment. Optimize equipment utilizationEnsure calibration and maintenance activities are properly scheduled, accounted for, and documentedSupport regional budget planning for environmental testing supporting multiple business units. Propose capital equipment and operation expense needsDevelop, coach, and lead team towards achievement of individual and group goals; hire, train, evaluate employee performanceEnsure global and regional processes and procedures are followed; verifying team acceptance and adherence. Promote development of new procedures as necessarySupport any/all laboratory accreditationsWhat You Need to Be Successful
Other tasks in the scope of the position assigned by the direct superiorKeeping „5S“ rules specified by the companyComplying with labour safety, fire protection, environmental protection and ESD regulationsKnowledge of the design, integration, manufacturing, and testing of automotive electronics along with experience with automotive interface/communication technologiesClear understanding of environmental test procedures, execution and reportingBSEE, BSEET, BSCS, BSME or equivalent accredited degree5+ years’ environmental qualification, 3+ years’ management experience; automotive electronics industry background highly desirableHigh degree of initiative, responsibility, flexibility, motivation, and excellent interpersonal skillsFluent in English (written & verbal) is requiredFailure analysis/problem solving methodology 8D/A3Bonus Points if You Have
Strong experience with IATF 16949 / ISO 17025. History working in an accredited laboratoryGood familiarity with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)Clear understanding of organizational metrics and their use to drive changeBackground in design/operation/testing of automotive amplifiers, speakers, radios, displays, ADAS, and/or TelematicsAbility to excel working within highly dynamic situationsWhat Makes You Eligible
