Mercury Systems is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineering Co-Op to join our Test Engineering team. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the testing and verification of advanced aerospace and defense electronic products, including embedded electronics, rack mount servers, and avionics systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll help develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and support continuous improvement across the test lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test procedures
Perform functional, regression, performance, and environmental testing on hardware, firmware, software, and integrated systems
Document test results, defects, and anomalies using established tracking systems
Support test automation efforts, including script development and execution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, development, systems, and qualification engineering
Analyze test data and prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations
Assist with maintaining, calibrating, and setting up laboratory test equipment
Support continuous improvement initiatives for test processes, tools, and methodologies
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process Coursework or project experience in testing methodologies Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C#, Bash, Java, or similar languages) Ability to work both independently and in team environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with test automation frameworks Knowledge of version control systems (Git, BitBucket) Understanding of product development lifecycles Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators) Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies Previous internship or co-op experience in engineering"This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance.
