Server Test Engineering Manager

Job Description

The Server Test Engineering Manager leads a team of test engineers and technicians responsible for validating server hardware platforms across manufacturing and development stages. This role ensures test coverage, process efficiency, and quality assurance for server products, while driving innovation and continuous improvement in test methodologies.

Responsibilities

Mentor a team of server test engineers and technicians.Define and execute test strategies aligned with product lifecycle and manufacturing processes.Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and NPI teams.Oversee the development and deployment of automated and manual test procedures for server platforms.Ensure test coverage for functional, performance, stress, and regression testing.Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for test failures.Allocate test resources across programs and phases.Manage test schedules, deliverables, and budgets.Support the hiring and onboarding of new test engineers.Lead large-scale projects across geographies and functions.Influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.Solve complex problems with innovative and scalable solutions.Attend off-shift meetings, travel internationally as needed, and support the team during off hours and weekends as necessary.Generate reports on a needed basis and share with organizational leaders.

Essential Skills

8+ years of experience in server hardware testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.Proficiency in test automation tools like Python, Bash, Linux.Strong understanding of server architecture, BIOS, BMC, and firmware validation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with ERP systems and data analytics for test optimization.Prior experience in fast-paced production or manufacturing environments.

Work Environment

The role requires flexibility to attend meetings during off-shift hours and occasional international travel. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams and executives. The position may require weekend support as necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Whitsett, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $158000.00/yr.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

This is a fully onsite position in Whitsett,NC.
